INDUSTRIAL HYDRO VAC SERVICES

Industrial Hydro Vac Services Ltd. was founded in 1998 by the MacKenzie family from Pictou County N.S.  Prior to 1998 the MacKenzie family had been operating a successful septic tank pumping business for 32 years in northern Nova Scotia.  During this time, the need for industrial cleaning services was becoming a large part of the day-to-day operations.

In 2002, the idea of expanding the industrial cleaning sector to a larger scale began to take shape.  With northern Nova Scotia not having a large industrial base, the HRM area was considered to be the most logical area where the company could grow due to the larger industrial work available.

For a period of one year MacKenzie Septic drew up a business plan, dealt with financial institutions and recruited new personnel for the Halifax area.  The company name MacKenzie Septic Tank Service did not fully explain the scope of work that could be done thus a new company was formed called Industrial Hydro Vac Services Ltd.  As it currently stands now MacKenzie Septic is the parent company of industrial Hydro Vac Services, which are both, owned by the MacKenzie family.

In the spring of 2003 the new office began operations in the Lower Sackville Business Park.  During the course of the first year of operation the work secured by Industrial Hydro Vac was far more then expected in the business plans.  This was due to the company’s strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. 

Industrial Hydro Vac has grown to be a leader in the industrial cleaning sector.  At the present time the company is located in a modern 9000 sq ft building with several fulltime employees and has added additional equipment to ensure that customer requirements can be fulfilled.

News of our operations had spread quickly into the province of New Brunswick, and in 2006 the demand for our services encouraged the expansion into the greater Moncton area.

Industrial Hydro Vac realizes that their customers need to keep their downtime to a minimum.  For this reason, Industrial Hydro Vac ensures that its own equipment is modern and maintains a comprehensive maintenance program.
